Kentucky: Most Of The Medicaid Beneficiaries Suing Over Work Requirements Aren’t Subject To Them

On the verge of a key court hearing on Medicaid work requirements, Kentucky told a federal judge that it has determined most of the plaintiffs challenging the state’s work requirements will not be subject to those requirements when they start taking effect next month. The new information may be intended to bolster the state’s argument that these beneficiaries lack standing to sue--but lawyers for the beneficiaries say that argument will fail as long as at least one of the beneficiaries...
