Kennedy Signals Willingness to Preserve CDC Maternal Health Program After Questioning From E&C Democrat

HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. signaled he’s open to reconsidering the administration’s plan to eliminate CDC’s Safe Motherhood and Infant Health program, which collects and analyzes data to help prevent pregnancy-related deaths, in an exchange at last Tuesday’s (June 24) House Energy & Commerce Committee hearing on the president’s HHS budget request.
