Judge Rejects HHS Request To Rethink Court Order To Clear Appeals Backlog

A federal district court rejected HHS' request to reconsider its recent decision ordering the agency to eliminate a Medicare appeals backlog by 2021. The court said HHS didn't provide new evidence, the law hasn't changed and the department didn't demonstrate the need to correct a clear error or prevent injustice.
