Johnson Vows Action On China Competition, Hospitals Object To Tariffs

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) said he plans to bring the BIOSECURE Act, legislation aimed at halting federal contracting with some biotech firms in adversarial foreign countries, to the floor for a vote this fall, also expressing support for tariffs that are raising concerns with a major hospital group.
