House and Senate Republican leaders on Tuesday (Dec. 5) had different approaches in mind for temporarily funding the government, and if House Republicans convince Senate Republicans to do a continuing resolution that is longer than two weeks, states would likely be forced to notify families that they’ll lose Children’s Health Insurance Program coverage for their kids, a Republican lobbyist said.
