Illinois Poised For State-Exchange, Rate Review Authority

Illinois will soon be added to the growing list of states that will be running their own exchanges with Gov. J.B. Pritzker set to sign a bill that would authorize a state exchange for 2026. The Democratic governor also plans to sign another bill strongly backed by consumer advocates that grants the state insurance department authority to review rates. The exact date for the signing is unclear -- the governor’s office did not respond to a query by press time...
