House Progressives Introduce Medicare-For-All Bill Without Financing

Liberal House Democrats introduced on Wednesday (Feb. 27) a bill to replace private insurance in two years with a government-run, single-payer system. There is no estimated cost for the Medicare for All Act, but Republicans and various health care industry groups say it would be prohibitively expensive, and the bill’s authors didn’t say whether they would pay for it, never mind how they’d pay for it.
