The House on Wednesday (June 22) passed by a vote of 336-85 an amended version of Rep. Anna Eshoo’s (D-CA) bill to establish the Biden administration’s new biomedical research agency, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H). House lawmakers adopted an amendment by Eshoo and Rep. Brett Guthrie (R-KY) that removes the requirement that the ARPA-H director be confirmed by the Senate.
