The House narrowly passed its controversial multitrillion-dollar budget resolution late Tuesday (Feb. 25) in a 217-215 vote after Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) won over most Republican holdouts at the eleventh hour, paving the way for a reconciliation bill that lets the GOP bypass a Democratic filibuster in the Senate and push through a spending package aligned with President Donald Trump’s priorities.
