House Dems Add Drug-Price Protection For Employer Plans To H.R. 3

The House Energy & Commerce Committee added a measure to its drug pricing legislation (H.R.3) that protects people who get their insurance from employers and unions from price hikes, according to a fact sheet released by the committee Thursday (Sept. 9). The previous version of the bill called for giving Medicare negotiated prices to employer- and union-sponsored plans, as does the latest bill, but it didn’t include the commercial market in the inflation rebate section.
