Hospitals Eye NDAA Transfer For DSH Delay As Site-Neutral Peters Out

As lobbyists signal that site-neutral reform provisions included in the House-passed Lower Costs, More Transparency Act are unlikely to clear the Senate, hospitals are vying for a tranche of non-earmarked funding transferred to the Medicare Improvement fund in late December to help delay Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) cuts -- the same funding physicians have already staked a claim on as part of their efforts to stave off 2024 Medicare physician pay cuts.
