Hospices, Beneficiary Advocates Want Hospice Benefit In VBID Delayed

The National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization and the Medicare Rights Center called on CMS to delay adding hospice to the expanded Value-Based Insurance Design demonstration by at least one year. The expanded model was announced in February and will go into effect in 2020. However, the hospice benefit is not set to be added in until 2021.
