HHS Touts Fourth Quarter Part B Drug Cost Savings Due To Inflation Rebates

HHS announced Monday (Sept. 30) that 54 prescription drugs covered under Medicare Part B are expected to have their coinsurance rates lowered between Oct. 1 and Dec. 31 following price hikes from drug makers that were implemented faster than the rate of inflation. Seniors taking these drugs during the last quarter of the year may save anywhere between $1 and $3,854 a day.
