HHS Removes Organ Transplant Limitations For Patients With HIV

HHS will remove requirements that patients with HIV can only receive kidney and liver transplants from those who also have HIV as part of clinical research, the department announced Tuesday (Nov. 26), saying it has been shown that kidney and liver transplants between donors and recipients who both have HIV are safe and effective.
