HHS on Wednesday (May 20) said it will pay AstraZeneca $1.2 billion to research and make at least 300 million COVID-19 investigational vaccine doses, and the first doses could be delivered as early as October, according to HHS and AstraZeneca press releases, though many say that’s probably an overly optimistic timeline.
