Hatch Clarifies That ACA's Mandate, Taxes Must Go; Cautions Bill Not 'End-All'

Senate Finance Chair Orrin Hatch (R-UT) on Wednesday (May 24) said he wants to fully repeal the ACA's individual mandate, coming days after he had suggested he might be open to retaining the mandate during a transition period. Hatch also said he wants to see all of the ACA's taxes repealed, and stressed the Senate should refrain from making changes to employer-sponsored coverage, even though he has supported changing the tax treatment of those benefits.
