Four Pharma Executives Met With White House Officials Thursday

Executives from Pfizer, Genentech, Amgen and Alkermes met with White House officials Thursday (July 18) to discuss policies to control drug prices, according to sources familiar with the meeting. Late that day, the White House asked Democrats to include in a must-pass budget deal drug-pricing policies that would save $115 billion. All four companies are members of the brand-drug industry lobby Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.
