Following California State Legislation, FDA Finalizes BVO Ban

FDA is finalizing its ban on brominated vegetable oil (BVO) in food products, the agency announced, setting a compliance date of August 2025 for producers to stop using the chemical nationwide and following the example of California, which passed a ban on BVO in food products last year.
