FDA, Marshals Seize $3.5 Million Worth Of Suspect Dietary Supplements

FDA made a sizeable notch in its enforcement belt on Friday (June 14), announcing that it requested U.S. Marshals seize $3.5 million worth of dietary supplements. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois determined the products were likely prepared, packed and/or held under conditions that do not conform to current good manufacturing practice (CGMP) requirements.
