FDA Looks Toward Budget Benefits From Organizational Restructure

FDA is already working to ensures its budget for fiscal year 2025 will reflect the changes coming under the pending reorganization of its food program and other offices, Principal Deputy Commissioner Janet Woodcock said as budget struggles continue in Congress, and the agency hopes the changes will ultimately save money by moving some Office of Regulatory Affairs functions to the agency’s product centers and consolidating functions like laboratories, compliance and communications.
