FDA Announces Eight Winners Of Opioid Device Challenge

After six months and over 250 applications, FDA finally announced the eight winners of an innovation challenge in which medical device developers submitted to the agency their best ideas for preventing and treating opioid addiction. The winners will work directly with the agency to accelerate the development and review of their devices, some of which might qualify for breakthrough designation, the agency said.
