FDA veterinary center Director Steven Solomon will lead an internal agency review of, and work to correct, the processes and procedures at FDA that led to the current infant formula shortage, agency chief Robert Califf told lawmakers Wednesday (May 25). FDA’s food center failed to escalate its response to the formula shortage, and concerns over FDA’s handling of the crisis are valid, Califf said during a House Energy & Commerce oversight subcommittee hearing. “The public should be concerned,” he said....
