European Union Considering Letting Gilead Sell Remdesivir

The European Union is considering letting Gilead sell remdesivir while the antiviral is studied as a COVID-19 treatment. By allowing sales of the drug, the European Union would make the drug more widely available than in the United States. Remdesivir is not approved for any condition by the FDA, but it has shown some promise as a treatment for COVID-19.
