E&C Panel To Mark Up Off-Label, OTC Drug, Good Samaritan Protection Bills

The House Energy & Commerce health subcommittee will mark up health bills next week that address off-label communications, modernization of FDA's over-the-counter (OTC) monograph system, and protection of health care professionals from liability when they volunteer during disasters. At the markup, announced Friday (Jan. 12), the subcommittee will consider the Pharmaceutical Information Exchange (PIE) Act of 2017; the Over-the-Counter Monograph Safety, Innovation, and Reform Act of 2018; and the Good Samaritan Health Professionals Act of 2017.
