Device Servicers Seek Increased Access To Servicing Materials Post-COVID

Third-party medical device servicers want Congress, FDA and CMS to ensure that, post-COVID-19, servicers will still be able to obtain critical device servicing materials, including equipment manuals and training, access to which has increased during the pandemic thanks to collaboration between servicers and device makers. Servicers specifically want Congress to pass right-to-repair legislation for the device space, and they want regulators to ramp up oversight of device makers to ensure they don’t block access to servicing materials once the pandemic...
