Device Industry Unveils MDUFA V Proposal, Calls For 26% Funding Bump

Medical device stakeholders want to see a nearly 26% increase in medical device user fee funding for fiscals 2023-2027, according to a draft industry proposal shared with Inside Health Policy . The increase would include $1.117 billion for the fifth iteration of the Medical Device User Fee Amendments plus a $127.04 million carryover balance from MDUFA IV, which would total $1.244 billion.
