Cuomo Will Advance Legislation To Ban Fentanyl Analogues In New York

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) will advance legislation this year to place fentanyl analogues on the state’s controlled substances list, according to the governor’s 2020 State of the State agenda unveiled Wednesday (Jan. 8). The legislation also would allow the New York State Health Commissioner to ban new fentanyl analogues that have been added to the federal schedule of controlled substances.
