Cummings, Krishnamoorthi Want CMS Documents On Medicaid Work Requirements

Two top Democrats on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform want the committee’s chairman, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC), to subpoena HHS and CMS for documents about the Trump administration’s support of Medicaid work requirements. Reps. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) and Raja Krishnamoorthi (D-IL) first requested the documents in an Aug. 23 letter to HHS Secretary Alex Azar and CMS Administrator Seema Verma.
