Compounders want FDA to make it easier for pharmacists and outsourcing facilities to respond to drug shortages brought about by COVID-19. Outsourcing facilities want FDA to broaden its drug shortage list so 503B compounders can more easily make exact copies of needed drugs, while pharmacy compounders have urged the agency to practice enforcement discretion and let them make over-the-counter drugs.
