CMS Wins In GA Medicaid Lawsuit, State Must Apply For Extension Or End Expansion With Work Requirements In 2025

CMS’ decision to not continue Georgia’s partial Medicaid expansion with work requirement restrictions beyond 2025 was final, and it does not violate the Administrative Procedure Act as the state’s request didn’t meet the requirements to ask for an extension, a judge ruled this week, adding the decision stands regardless of Chevron’s demise.
