CMS Touts Medicaid-Marketplace Transitions As Enrollments Hit Record 21.3M

CMS touts the Affordable Care Act marketplaces as a landing spot for people transitioning out of Medicaid as the administration celebrates the record-breaking 21.3 million people who enrolled in an ACA plan via healthcare.gov or one of the state-based exchanges during the 11th open enrollment period. CMS reports that as of Dec. 31, about 2.4 million, or 15%, of people signing up through healthcare.gov had previously been on Medicaid/CHIP.
