CMS: State Medicaid EPSDT Coverage Req Includes Transportation

The Biden administration unveiled Thursday (Sept. 26) CMS’ most comprehensive guidance in the last 10 years on Medicaid’s early and periodic screening, diagnostic and treatment (EPSDT) requirements, reminding states they must cover comprehensive services, including transportation and help making appointments, to correct or heal health conditions diagnosed for certain Medicaid-eligible children.
