CMS At Risk Of Misalignment In Absence Of Congressional Telehealth Extension

CMS is at risk of creating misalignment between telehealth reimbursement policies in its upcoming 2025 physician fee schedule and Congress’ potential extension of pandemic telehealth waivers, according to leading health care consultants, by allowing reimbursement for a shorter period of time than Congress’ expected two-year extension before the waivers expire at the end of the year.
