CMS Releases Updated State Unwinding Timelines, Two Stretch Into 2025

CMS says nine states and the District of Columbia will take longer than the previously scheduled June deadline to complete their post-pandemic review of each Medicaid beneficiary’s eligibility -- a massive undertaking that KFF estimates has led to 22.8 million people losing Medicaid coverage.
