CMS Proposes Rule To Prevent Dual Enrollment In Exchange, Other Coverage

CMS proposed a rule that aims to better ensure consumers are not dually enrolled in exchange and other public coverage, including Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP and the Basic Health Plan. The rule, out Wednesday, also tweaks rules around plans that offer abortion services, and requires issuers collect separate payments from consumers for the portion of the premium that accounts for those services that are banned from public funding.
