CMS Proposes New Behavioral Health Program

The Biden administration wants to create a new behavioral health initiative under Medicare that pays for opioid treatment programs, hospital outpatient departments, Community Mental Health Centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers and Rural Health Clinics, according to CMS’ proposed 2024 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) released Thursday (July 13).
