CMS Proposes 6.4% Cut In Home Health Pay For 2026, Letting Patients Update CGMs, Insulin Pumps More Often

CMS wants to cut Medicare home health reimbursement by $1 billion in 2026, arguing the significant reduction will make it less likely to need future large permanent adjustments, but home health agencies say the cut would expand existing home health care deserts and create new one that will leave patients without the care they need.
