CMS Pressed To Strengthen EHBs In Exchange Rule

Health care advocates are pushing CMS to strengthen the Affordable Care Act’s essential health plan requirements in the upcoming exchange rule, including by updating coverage requirements for prescription drugs, improving children’s coverage, ensuring there are no inappropriate limits on rehabilitation and habilitation services, and mandating a minimum national standard for maternity benefits that offers dental care, mid-wife and doula services.
