CMS Finalizes Method For Calculating Medicaid DSH Cuts

CMS on Monday (Sept. 23) released a final method for implementing annual Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital pay cuts from fiscal 2020 through fiscal 2025. The cuts are currently scheduled to go into effect Oct. 1, but a continuing resolution to keep the government open through Nov. 21, which was passed by the House last week, would delay the DSH cuts until mid-November.
