CMS Finalizes D-SNP Look-Alike, Star Ratings Policies In MA Rule

CMS finalized a number of Medicare Advantage policies for 2021, including loosing network adequacy requirements, limiting so-called Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans look-alikes and reworking aspects of MA star ratings -- but the final MA and Part D rule issued Friday (May 22) leaves out several pieces of the proposed rule, which CMS says it will deal with in a future rulemaking due to the current preoccupation with COVID-19.
