CMS Eases Participation, Coverage Conditions For Hospitals, Others

CMS finalized a rule Wednesday (Sept. 25) that revamps the Conditions of Participation and Conditions of Coverage for hospitals, home health providers, transplant centers, ambulatory surgical centers and other providers and facilities by removing regulations that CMS deemed burdensome or unnecessary. “This final rule also increases the ability of health care professionals to devote resources to improving patient care by eliminating or reducing requirements that impede quality patient care or that divert resources away from furnishing high quality patient care,”...
