CMS Approves 12 Months Post-Partum Coverage In TN, SC

South Carolina and Tennessee will offer Medicaid and CHIP coverage for 12 months after enrollees give birth under the American Rescue Plan’s new state plan opportunity, CMS announced Friday (May 6). About 22,000 Tennesseans and 16,000 South Carolinians are expected to benefit from the program, the agency says.
