CMS Again Extends Home Health, Non-Emergency Ambulance Moratoria

CMS on Monday (July 30) announced it would continue for another six months moratoria on Medicare, Medicaid and CHIP participation for new non-emergency ground ambulance suppliers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and home health agencies in Florida, Illinois, Michigan and Texas. The agency initially used its moratorium authority, a product of the Affordable Care Act, in July 2013 to prevent new home health agencies in the Chicago and Miami areas from enrolling in Medicare, Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance...
