CMS Advisers Recommend Against Cuts To Hospitals' Reimbursement For 340B Drugs

CMS' Advisory Panel on Hospital Outpatient Payment recommended Monday (Aug. 21) the agency drop a proposal to cut hospitals' Medicare reimbursement for drugs purchased through the 340B discount program. The 2018 hospital outpatient proposed pay rule would cut reimbursement from Average Sales Price plus 6 percent, to ASP minus 22.5 percent.
