Children Health Advocates Push To Make CHIP Permanent

More than 500 children health advocates, including state and local organizations, are pushing Congress to permanently extend the Children’s Health Insurance Program, saying COVID-19 has made it obvious that Americans need reliable, affordable and comprehensive health insurance. CMS released Medicaid and CHIP enrollment numbers last month that showed of the 80.5 million beneficiaries, over 38.3 million of them are children.
