CDC Vaccine Advisers Recommend Pfizer Vaccine For Ages 16 And Older

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s vaccine advisers on Saturday (Dec. 12) unanimously agreed with FDA that Pfizer and BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine should be administered to people aged 16 years and older, following FDA’s emergency use authorization for the vaccine late Friday (Dec. 11). CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices is planning another two-day meeting next weekend to discuss Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine candidate, the same week FDA will meet with its advisers to discuss the drug maker’s EUA request...
