Cassidy: Telehealth Providers Should Be Licensed Where They Practice, Reimbursed Less

Senate health committee ranking Bill Cassidy (LA) told Inside TeleHealth that he is against interstate licensing registration systems and would prefer physicians who are using telehealth across state lines obtain a full medical license in each state they practice in order to limit bad actors. Although Cassidy is a strong supporter of telehealth, he has specific opinions about how telehealth should be delivered, including forgoing payment parity between in-person and telehealth providers.
