With CA Update, About 250K Now Enrolled Via COVID SEPs

Covered California has seen 123,000 people enroll in coverage since the state announced an emergency special enrollment period due to COVID-19, or about 2.5 times more than enrolled the same time last year, the state exchange announced. Those enrollment numbers combined with other recently released sign-up figures indicate that nearly 250,000 people have enrolled via the emergency special enrollment periods established by 12 of the country’s state-based exchanges.
