CA AG Announces $2.1M Settlement Over ‘Sham’ Insurance Plans

California has reached a $2.1 million settlement against a non-profit company that claimed to be a health sharing ministry (HCSM), and which allegedly created and sold “sham’ insurance products through its for-profit vendor in violation of state law.
