Arguments Set For March 14 In Medicaid Work Requirement Lawsuits

The federal judge overseeing two lawsuits challenging Medicaid work requirements scheduled back-to-back hearings in the cases for March 14. At those hearings, Judge James Boasberg of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia will hear oral arguments on the legality of work requirements in Arkansas and Kentucky. Arkansas’ work-requirement program took effect June 1, and more than 18,000 people in the state were kicked off Medicaid last year for failing to show compliance with the program.
